In Evia Island (Greece) : Diaporama

Wednesday 10 November 2010 by Stephan Mardaga

A little lend by a friend at the suburb of Dirrevmata (Διρρεύματα) will be used as a shelter for daily strolls in the environs. While Nazaré and Charles worked their mandala’s, I embarked upon the discovery of the environs. The small town closed to Konistres (Κονίστρες) gives me the chance to make few purchase and of course to have a first hand contact with the local population.

A little knowledge of the Greek language is sufficient. Mainly when one meets at periptero (pavilion for cigarettes and newspapers) Vassiliki who fully agreed to be my professor. Cool ! There is a way in, a little bench was waiting on me right between the shelves full of heterogeneous objects in a bookshop style. Just a little time to cater to me in between two customers usually coming in to give or obtain the latest news from the environs. Then you have always the kafeneon, right by the church, the boss offered me the first coffee.

The core of the sojourn, cars and pedestrians overflowing the streets ! Itineraries and maps can be found in Dirrevmata - Kymi - Eubée - Grèce.

Here are the photos during the trip. Enjoy them.
